From the eye of a Nashville native

As both the capital of Tennessee and the capital of country music, Nashville has always had a personality of its own. I like to say that you can tell a lot about a city from its skyline, and Nashville's is one of a kind. As a Nashville native, and a student of our city's history, I began to realize that we are in the midst of one of the most important moments in our history which will forever change how our city looks. Cranes dot the skyline, and old buildings have been reinvented. One can only imagine what the Nashville city skyline will look like tomorrow.

My goal when I started this project was to capture this era of change in Nashville. Starting with the skyline, street corners and cranes, I've tried to take photographs from unique vantage points, many of which have already disappeared. I want to capture the way the city is today and set the stage for what it will look like in the future.
